Resumen

El estudio de la Gestión de la Calidad Total (GCT) ha sido abordado bajo diferentes enfoques, lo que ha generado numerosas definiciones. En la actualidad todavía no existe un marco teórico generalmente aceptado. Por ello, el presente trabajo pretender avanzar en este sentido, y sintetiza las principales aportaciones existentes en la literatura especializada con el objeto de delimitar qué es la GCT. Así, se presentan tanto los principios en los que se sustenta como las dimensiones a través de las cuales se hace operativa.
