Resumen

Se estudia el fenómeno influencer analizando, en primer lugar, el potencial impacto psicológico de las redes sociales en las nuevas generaciones de los denominados nativos digitales. Para ello se focaliza la atención en Facebook, por ser la red más popular y extendida, y cómo ha ido configurando una generación a la que se ha denominado «millennial». Será sobre este grupo generacional donde se centrarán las diversas reflexiones, particularmente en torno a su posible dificultad para diferenciar entre mundo virtual y vida real. Finalmente, llegamos a la figura de los influencers, como fenómeno esperable en un contexto generacional muy ligado a una sociedad dominada por tendencias consumistas. Se analizan tanto las razones y consecuencias del fenómeno como las repercusiones personales que pueden vivir los propios influencers.
