Afganistán 2017. Evolución de sus estructuras gubernamentales

Resumen


Los ataques terroristas del 11 de septiembre del 2001 desembocaron en una intervención militar en Afganistán que contó con el apoyo de un elevado número de países, involucrando incluso a la OTAN en su conjunto. Tras más de dieciséis años de presencia militar en el país, se ha hablado mucho de la insurgencia talibán y, tras la drástica reducción de tropas occidentales, de las capacidades de las fuerzas afganas para hacer frente a esa amenaza. Sin embargo esa operación militar ha venido acompañada por un gran esfuerzo enfocado al impulso de la gobernabilidad afgana. Este artículo dará una idea de qué se ha conseguido en esta década, y cómo estos años de presencia occidental han servido para mejorar las capacidades de un gobierno afgano aún endeble y en pleno proceso de desarrollo.
